Comments Thread For: Timothy Bradley: Standing There and Trading Was Idiotic

Sure is easy to sit back and say beforehand that Tim might have needed a fight like that for his career but I'm not the one taking the brutality.. that went waaay overboard. He was so gone even in one of the rounds where he only got hit a couple of times. Hopefully he and Ruslan heal up well. I hope that Tim's effort won't go overlooked....I know people like underdogs so Ruslan will always get love for his role but man Tim left it all out there.

yes standing and trading was idiotic and gave you a possible concussion but it gained respect from me. Still dont think hes an elite fighter but his heart is. Hopefully hes cool now. Baseball and football players always have lingering effects from concussions and who knows when he got it and how many times he got hit in the head after. Seems like a good guy so hope for the best

He knows why he did it. He just doesn't want to deal with the criticism, which I can understand.

But standing in there will likely get him another big payday so doing that probably was worth it

You've heard of "suicide by cop", some no-hoper stands up to the police, begging them to take him out and eliminate the pain of his life. I thought, at first, Bradley was trying to commit "suicide by Ruslan." He's felt all the emotional pain of being the "winner" of the fight with Pacquiao but the loser in the aftermath and experiencing so much depression.
So I thought he was standing there trying to get knocked out, and say goodbye cruel world. But his internal competitor wouldn't let him go out like that. That was definitely one of the most exciting fights I have ever seen. Floyd's fight won't be half as good and cost $70.00 more, I'm not buying it. Go Tim, you have definitely gained a lot of respect from me and a lot of others.
