That's partly true, but pleasing the fans is what makes fighters legendary. Look at guys like Morales, Barrera, Pacquiao, they put on shows, they entertained people. If boxing is entertainment then crowd pleasing fights matter.

Yeah as far as being a star ans what not but Hopkins is a great example of boxing genius. I admire him for his supreme intellect in the ring even though he isn't crowd pleasing per say. I understand what you are saying and I do think that as others have mentioned, he can find a balance between the two (boxing and pleasing the fans) and maybe have the best of both worlds. Maybe boxing them up until late in the fight and then trying to close the show.

I think Martinez is a great example of combining the two. I find his fights exciting but he outboxes the other guy along the way. I guess it depends on how one wants to define their legacy so to speak.

Why exactly do you think he can outbox anyone in the world at 140-147? I've always given Bradley credit, but part of the reasons I doubted the hype around him before the Pacquiao fight was that I always have thought he's prone to recklessness.

Even though a big part of his problem against Provodnikov was not boxing, he still showed plenty of defensive deficiencies IMO that are very real and aren't simply a matter of what his gameplan is.

Bradley's a solid B+ fighter at 140 IMO - at 147, I'm not so sure. I think he can beat anyone at 140, but I don't think it's written in stone at all.

Not for nothing but he tried to be tough and got whooped out. Simple.

No way Bradley should fight 2 more times this year. I think he took more damage in his fight then Pacquiao did being that he was out on his feet while overexerting that's worse than being out cold due with lack of oxygen to the brain and exertion thats why he had amnesia he should take at least 5 months off..

The wheelchair champ is now the whiny champ.

There has to be something really superhuman he had to endure just to win...

                      1. I broke my feet
                      2. I was concussed
                      3. I did not follow my fight plan
                      4. I was pinned to the ropes by 4 aliens
                      5. I was shot and continued to battle on

The truth is those two recent wins were gift like. He's a lucky guy.
