I never said ducking. I just dont see the point in waiting for Garcia when Petersons ready to give him a title shot now. Matthysse fought in Feb. Garcias fight still a month. That means Matthysse could be inactive for going on 6 months and counting. Worse if Garcia gets cut. Plus theres no guarantee Garcias gonna fight Matthysse next. Peterson could just as easily challenge Garcia after the Judah fight. Petersons a little more known and has a title. Who knows what could happen. Then Matthysses stuck fighting for a vacant title against some other no name bum. I think if Matthysse fights Peterson now he eliminates a lot of those "if's" that could happen. Plus I think the Peterson vs Matthyssee winner could easily be on the short list to land a Mayweather fight.

Why wait for Garcia when GBP is giving you a title shot now? In my opinion Peterson and Matthysse are the 2 best ive seen at 140, although Matthysse hasnt fought the top teir contenders as of late. But hes doing what he has to do by blowing out the bums. Peterson wants the fight. Showtime slurps Matthysse like hes their favorite son. Shafers came out and said he wants to make that fight. Yet Matthysse has been quiet as a church mouse all of a sudden. Last year it was Danny this and Danny that. Peterson comes asking now its cricket sounds.

Dude you making no sense. Lucas doesn't want to go to DC. I wouldn't either. Twice he's lost split decisions in the opponents home town. And everybody knows he should have won both fights. Peterson has fought back to back fights in DC. Time to man up Lamont. Neutral site if you really about that life!

he hasnt been quiet. He wants the fight too. The only holdup is they want it at a netural site like GBP were saying they were going to make it a double header in Atlantic City with Alexander-Brook but Peterson's people want the fight in DC. Lucas doesnt wanna fight there because of what happen with Khan and also both of Lucas losses came in his opponents backyard. They are trying to figure it out

I wouldnt if i were Lucas. His 2 losses are questionable, as a result of him being the visitor. The Ref's and officials in D.C. are a little shady. Im sure they'd go out their way to give it to peterson.Would love to see the fight though. Hope its made at a neutral spot.

I hope Matthysse takes this opportunity no matter what. He's already said he feels comfort in the fact everyone knows he was robbed in those two fights, so why not take this one if there's no way on getting it moved to a more neutral location? Matthysse could very well end it by KO, so he might as well go for it. He's 30 years old, these prime years come and go in a flash.

That's pretty ******ed if he is. Anyway I hope this fight isn't in Peterson's hometown. Lucas will surely win by stoppage but there's always that chance that he might get robbed.
