Maybe you hate Bradley that bit more? And yes you do need to say more as being out on his feet did not equal him being out of the fight. He was still putting up a resistance which prevent Ruslan from completely dominating the round.
If he wanted to win the round 10-8 put him on the ground or beat the fight out of him.Comment

That's the only time I'd consider giving a 10-8 round when the guy didn't go down. The one guy is doing completely nothing and just eating punch after punch and not returning any fire at all....even then though, I still usually give a 10-9 unless the guy is just a complete punching bag the entire time.Judges seem to base it on how much work the guy who lost the round got it. Getting beaten up for three minutes while landing next to nothing is what usually results in 10-8 rounds. If a guy does ok for the first two minutes and then gets rocked but survives, I don't think that usually leads to a 10-8.
Acknowledging in advance that Compubox is next to useless for measuring punches landed, I think the punch output of Bradley in Rounds 1&2 challenges the argument that he was completely dominated:

The punch output for the rounds is in Provodnikov's favour, but not overwhelmingly so.
Compare that with Rd 10 of Khan-Maidana for example:

In that Round 10, Maidana throws 85 shots to Khan's 32. In terms of power shots he out-throws him 70 to 14.
By contrast, Provodnikov out-throws Bradley by only 97 to 80 in Rd.2, and by 80 to 57 in terms of power shots.
So Bradley was not out of those rounds. Yes Provodnikov clearly won them and had Bradley in huge trouble. But Bradley wasn't curled up in his shell being totally dominated. What Maidana did to Khan was a clear 10-8 round. Rounds 1&2 of Bradley-Provodnikov were less clear cut.Comment

I don't hate boxers bro, they've never done anything to me or my family.Maybe you hate Bradley that bit more? Thats your opinion for a 10-8 round. Mine is different.Comment

You should be able to purchase certain privileges with your points. In exchange for 2 points, for example, you could wear headgear for 3 rounds, and for 4 points you can wear smaller gloves for 3 rounds.Comment

This is why they shouldn't do it....it's too subjective. Bradley did not get beaten to a pulp - that's just ridiculous. A 10-8 round (or better) should be obvious and specific to all 3 judges to avoid rushed judgement or favoritism.Comment

In round 2 he got beaten up tremendously, for 2+ minutes. Normally when that happens, it's a 10-8 but the guy usually shells up. Tim was throwing the whole way through, which makes it a tough call.
But no doubt he took a 10-8 worth of punishment and more. Be honest with yourself, weren't you shocked he got through the round on his feet? That usually means 10-8.Comment

Never said it was. I said if you take a knee, the clock continues to run and you burn 15-20 seconds off of the clock from the ref counting, checking you and resuming the action.Comment
