And we may see Price get thwacked in his next few outtings, proving he wasn't so good afterall, and proving Thompson isn't so great. Or the opposite may happen. Lotta questions to be answered. The next year or two will be an interesting time for HW boxing fans while all these contenders and pretenders get sorted out.
Agreed. The HW division is alive and well, contrary to what many people make it out to be. And now that Haye is coming back, could it get any better?

i'd like to see it but will it actually happen? fury is in striking distance for both WBC & IBF title shots. thompson is ranked below him in both & after watching the price fight will he be willing to risk his position? i hope so but if fury gets past cunningham(which he should)then he will more then likely either fight pulev or whomever the WBC champion is later in the year.

I think the same. Fury's headed straight for Wlad, it's too soon, but that's his direction it seems.

he has already beaten kingpin in a WBC eliminator. he would either be facing the winner of stiverne\arreola or whomever is the winner between arreola\stiverne & vitali. if vitali retires then the pulev fight isn't happening because he would then have a title shot next for the WBC belt. if vitali continues on then he will be waiting for at least another year then i could see him taking the pulev\IBF route. fury is in a great position in 2 world bodies. a thompson fight could be a huge risk but at the same time a thompson fight is very winnable & might generate some interest in england because of the price result. if thompson beat both price & fury that would be quite the blow to the division. a 41 year old beating both of england's rising Hws...

This. And also because we know for a fact Thompson is zero threat to Wlad.

Fury going to America is good. Even Thompson beating Price was good. Shows the difference in levels from Wlad to Price. Haye potentially coming back is good. If only Helenius, Pulev, Povetkin and the likes will mix it with the better heavies, then we are looking at something interesting!

Absolutely, the division as a whole will keep improving over the next few years.

Not unless the top fighters start fighting each other and are more active it won't.

I certainly can't imagine a better heavyweight division than the current one.
