Can Hunter fix Berto or is it too late?

According to FH Berto will be joining Virgil Hunter as his trainer.

I personally think it's a little too late.

        Too late.

Should have hired him or a capable trainer early in his career and he may have gained a boxing style and some skills.

If he's 100% committed he will be able to make some minor adjustments but don't expect to see a completely new Berto

Nah...Berto has reached his ceiling. He might win "a" belt and get himself one more payday but that's about it. Can't even blame his old trainer, Berto 's corner is chaos, pops yelling, his brother yelling, and he doesn't listen anyway.

Berto has shown skill, power and speed but continually leaves those out of the ring. Fighting a fight which is not yours, will lose you fights. Exactly what happened when he tried to fight like Mayweather.

Factor in his anemia/stamina problems and yea... If matched correctly he will get a few wins but I think he will always be the gatekeeper to Mayweather. He's also been in 2 brutal wars already.

Agreed, he will never be the top welterweight or at least in the foreseeable future. 2 wars I don't see hurting his future, including the Guerrero fight.
