What about Broner? His last fight was Reese. And now Malignaggi. Gamboa has been calling him out and they'd rather do **** fights.
Broner vs Malignaggi is an outrageous fight. The fact they are trying to sell it to me as competitive / compelling actively makes me angry.

There are so many solid fights out there for Broner.

Gamboa would be insane. But if he goes to jr welter, there are many more competitive fights: Marquez, Mattysse, Kahn, Peterson. And please, please, please knock out Garcia for me.

There are so many better fights out there for broner:

Everyone talking about Showtimes budget like they on the table. Maybe with the new brass in order they will make a huge push to become the elite station for boxing. Time will tell but looks that way to me. Yes HBO is the staple but things change all the time. I have both so doesnt matter to me.

Also didnt showtime already take the NFL show from HBO?

Gamboa is to little for Broner. Now dont get me wrong i like Gamboa but he gets hit to much by little guys and if Broner get in there with him he will hurt him. KO inside 5.

I didnt like Broner jumping to 47 or 40 but it is what it is now. hopefully he goes back down after the fight since he wont have to many people to face after that since he and Floyd wont fight.

GBP has Showtime, Showtime PPV, CBS Network, Fox Sports, and Fox Deportes to show their stable of fighters.

I think they will be fine.

CBS ain't gonna put more cash on the table from other revenue unless they know they will get a return on their investment. as is, boxing is a fringe sport, and working with GBP and with Floyd, they are bound to lose money ( or break even) than make money.

I dunno what Showtime is trying to do... maybe they want to do a UFC thing with boxing since strikeforce failed to compete with UFC. but they should've learned their lesson by now. as I see it, Showtime is gonna get milked by GBP putting on uncompetitive showcase match ups. and if CBS gets in on it too, they are gonna get milked too.

I disagree with you guys. Why do all of you think HBO has the budget to do it but Showtime doesnt? The reason why Showtime didnt have the budget is because they didnt have the fighters. Now that they have the fighters, there budget will expand. Mayweather himself will make it huge for them.

The big wigs at Showtime will be more than willing to open up there pockets if they think there is something to open it up for. Even if its very risky, they will take that risk to be not only the #1 boxing network but they think the boxers can make people subscribe to there regular network.

Lampley says that wouldnt happen but thats bs. I already know people who have had HBO all there lives, now leave and go to Showtime since thats where most of the boxers they like are now fighting. There are people who will change.

Then what if they get 2 mega stars? What if Broner's mouth actually turns him into Floyd jr. If they get another big PPV star then there is no way they fail. If Canelo beats Trout then they may try to put off the Floyd fight and make him into another Oscar until the fight gets huge. They have alot of options as of now

The only people that will hurt either Top Rank or GBP are themselves. The networks provide the platform, but if either Promotion are putting on **** fights, it'll resonate either way because the networks can always say No to airing the fight.

Showtime has become shills for GBP and that will hurt them in the long run.Sho does not have the budget to keep all GBP fighters happy and they don't have enough boxing dates for GBP's promotions.

HBO, I can have HBO again with my conscience clean! I've been living without SHO any ways!
