I agree with him. HBO has been doing it for some time, not just with Broner but with a lot of guys....Berto, Thurman, Jacobs, Kirkland, Golovkin and a few others. It's a business and they are the salesmen marketing their product. Paulie is right though, you can't make people stars because in doing so, you allow them to skip the fights that truly make them stars. This is why when they actually get into a fight and the going gets tough, they usually fail the test, they have been living life on a pedestal.

You are right, they did try to build him up but I think he is the goods....think that's why I left him off the list. It wasn't intentional, by any means I actually think he wants and has wanted the tough fights but Schaefer and Oscar want to coddle him. That's why I like the Trout fight, it's one of those fights that will indeed be a tough one but it'll be one that builds character and both guys should be better because of this fight.
