Pacquiao has a better resume than Mayweather, I was just asking a simple question about 1 particular fight.

To answer the question in more detail, Yes we have always had alot of great fighters that took all challenges, from Duran, to Pac, and we will continue to have champions like that.

If it's to remain a popular sport, it must.

Yep, Bobby Pacquiao, I can see it now

He has 15 loss, but I think he can still go far.

Who was it that said if boxing had a manny pacquiao in every division the world would be a better place or peace in the middle east, I forgot the exact quote. Was it Larry Merchant or Jim Lampley?

This was at the time before Pacman blew up in the mainstream while he was still a featherweight I believe and taking the boxing world by storm.

Pacman is a special fighter, I am glad I got to witness this guy before he got famous, just like Larry Merchant did, I became an instant fan when he fought that Ledwaba guy on the undercard of Oscar's fight.

I remember this orange hair rice bowl haircut asian guy just smiling and waving while walking to the ring and I was laughing hard, I said is this guy high? Why is this guy smiling? I was hearing the announcers big up Ledwaba as the next guy in line to face Morales, Barrera, Hamed, and this Asian guy with two weeks noticed was about to get his head taken off, I was almost laughing saying man this Asian guy is going to get his butt whooped and that smile will be gone. Man was I proven wrong, he demolished Ledwaba, they said Ledwaba was hands of stone, but Pac was the one with those thudding hard blows.

Ever since than I was intrigued and became a fan. Its rare that we can actually witness a star from then to now.

I remember saying if only the mainstream could see Pacquiao and embrace him boxing would get more attention, everyone was saying boxing was dead and I was like hell no you guys haven't seen Manny Pacquiao fight, this guy will make you want to enjoy the sport again he always comes to fight and enjoys kicking ass.

Even Floyd Mayweather was a huge Manny Pacquiao fan.

You're just a bitter hater. I don't think you know the impact Pacquiao had on this sport.

I recall Shane Mosley being ranked number 6 on the WW list.

So please explain this to me, why would a P4P king, fight a guy coming off of 2 loss back to back??
Well SSM wasnt the most dangerous, but SSM is never considered an easy touch for anyone. And when you fight as regularly tough opponents as Pac you are afforded priviledges that others shouldnt be afforded and allowed. You could say SSM was Pacs easy fight and warm up fight is it the way to put it. And inbetween fight while waiting for the bigger fish, ie that could be Floyd or whoever.

When you fight as tough competition as Pac who is a throwback fighter, you cant keep burning the candle at both ends as somethings gotta give at some point. For example Pac just beat Cotto, and before Pac could even catch his breath they are requesting Pac fights Cotto at 154. This is the kind of expectations people have of Pac which is unfair and unrealistic.

But Pac is a throwback fighter that is becoming rare. Pac just busts up another face and is already thinking his next opponent. Plus Pac dont hit the hardest yet his opponents faces look like automobile accident victims or had meeting with a baseball bat. Which means when Pac was hitting you he was really landing and not just trying to pretend to hit his opponents to score imaginery points with the judges like Bradley and Floyd does.
