Like many great fighters before him (i.e. Mayweather, Wlad, Tyson Jones, etc), Bradley was in a war with a fighter he was the favorite against. My hat off to Bradley, but more importantly, my hats off to Russell for knowing the situation, time, etc and not pulling some punk ass Richard Steele crap and stopping it with a second or two left in the fight.

    That's all.
Agreed BG27 mah homie. Mr. Russell did an outstanding job on Saturday IMHO.

Going for the crotch and slipping to the ground is not an uncommon tactic. Dirrell has done it a lot, and never got penalized. But he never got up on bambi legs either. Most guys get up like that from a KD, and it's a rightful stoppage cause it's unsafe for them to continue. Bradley can take more than most guys, and the KD happened late in the round, so it was a fortunate non stoppage.

He wasnt trying to be David Haye and flop around, he did it because of being so hurt from the punch

        But i agree with you

I just told you what I was thinking while watching it live. I've since had a chance to see it again ... And yes you can clearly see he got hit he leaned over forward because he was hurt and provodnikov helped him touch the canvas by pushing him down.

Everyone was shocked by how hurt Bradley was by that punch because of the delay between when the punch landed and when he went down hbo commentators included.
Watching it live it honestly wasnt obvious that he was hurt at all to me at least until he fell backwards after his first attempt to get up and then started wobbling around.
Granted in hindsight he didn't take the punch well. But honestly when watching it live I did not think when that punch landed it was a punch that would ultimately almost ko him.

meh, Meldrick should have been stopped, bless him. he wasn't responding to the official as he should have been, he just looked at Duva - doesn't matter what's left on the clock, he's beaten right there.

Bradley gave clear-headed response, shook his head 'yes' and then walked forward when instructed.

EDIT: lol @ the clowns still pretending that Bradley was KD in the 1st.

You can clearly see bradley stumble into Ruslans crotch head first and not be able to hold himself up being so hurt. When you spear a guys nuts, he's gonna bend over like that. Bradley went down because he had no legs

Yes buddy you are right ... No one is arguing why/what/how/when with you. We both have a set of eyes. I can watch the replay the same way you can. Bradley was hurt and he went down... It should've probably been scored a kd.

You made the point that it should've been "obvious" to the referee. That's where I disagree, and I gave you reasons as to why it wasnt so obvious. When Bradley went down the ref called it a slip or push (can't remember) which was understandable because (again) watching it live he did appear to get pushed down... What I'm sure the ref didnt realize until he had made his ruling was that Bradley would get up looking more like Bambi. What was he supposed to do at the point ? Say "oops my bad" 1.. 2...3...4...

Yes, he should have said "ooops, my bad". Bradley was clearly knocked down. Why else was he doing the Berbick?

yup. dipped low in a circular, rolling evasive motion after the left hook caught him, was in the process of bringing his upper-body back upright when his head made contact with Provodnikov's lower body and he was then leaned on.

certain people will refuse to acknowledge that it happened, though. apparently he just crumpled.
