Hey look, its a thread with Rigo and Donaire fans getting along. I guess everyone got all the bad blood out... Maybe a little too soon? We gotta build the fight up!

Guille is more than capable of winning this fight on points. I think he's going to be cautious, but (hopefully, at least) not boringly so. The Rigo body shot is the wild card. If he stops Donaire, it'll almost certainly be this way. He'll be looking for it all night, if only to soften Nonito up. Who knows? He might hit the ball out of the park.
His bodyshot is only effective when his opponent is coming forward and running into it so to speak. Rigo strikes me as fighter who has a hard time adjusting on the fly, he's like a machine who needs all the parameters to be perfect for him to function. That's why he takes so long to get rid of guys that aren't on his level. I think Nonito will disrupt all these parameters and make Rigo lag and malfunction.

But NSB thrives off trash talk! Plus we gotta build this fight up cause a lot of people are gonna be disappointed on fight night.

With only eleven fights under his belt, it's tough to say that Rigondeaux's body shot is only effective at certain times. Nonetheless, assuming you're right, Donaire has been known to rush in from time to time. Maybe he'll be more wary of that versus Guillermo, maybe not.

Rigo certainly appears machine-like, but it's probably just an illusion created by his precise actions. Not to say that Guille is on his level, but Mayweather creates that illusion, too. One of my favorite all-time greats, Alexis Arguello, also gave that impression. I don't think it's necessarily indicative of a fighter that can't adjust.

There's no doubt that Nonito will present Rigo with his greatest challenge to date, by far. But I also think "El Chacal" is the best fighter Donaire will have fought. Both these guys will have some adjusting to do. I think this is going to be a very interesting fight. It better be...I'm spending time and money to be there.

I've seen a few videos and read a few articles that Donaire comes in at 135lbs after re-hydrating. I've watched all of his recent fights and not once have I seen him over 124 or 125 when HBO shows the re-hydrate weight.

As Donaire ever entered the ring above 130lbs? I don't think he has but would like to know if I am wrong.

There's some trash talk right there. lol

Tell you the truth, the only things that'll disappoint me are: a. The fight is boring, and/or b. Rigo doesn't perform to the best of his abilities. Win, lose or draw, I'll be proud of Guillermo is he represents. No shame in losing to a top P4P fighter, especially if you make a good account of yourself. And if "El Chacal" wins? Oh, baby....

Remember how hyped up people were for Lara vs Vanes? This place did a complete 360 the next day. I'm expecting the same in this fight.

If Rigo catches Donaire clean could he KO him brutally?

Seeing Marroquin wobble him has me extremely worried, Nonito has one of the best left hooks in the game and could end Rigo's night if he catches him.
As awkward as Vic Darchinyans style was, the guy still had power and Donaire took his best shots like they were nothing. If anything at all Rigo has the ability to irritate Donaire but I don't think he has a chance in hell to win this fight unless the size of the ring is 24x24 so he could run all night but I'm sure the ring will be a standard 20x20 and Donaire will stop him because he has way more power than Rigo and he can't run forever. Rigo is a great 3 round fighter but just an average 12 rd fighter and it wont go all 12. If Marroquin could stun Rigo just think about what P4P elite Donaire will do to Rigo. You should be more worried if Rigo shows up like Nishioka did in his fight with Donaire being more focused on avoiding the left hand than doing damage to Donaire you will be disappointed and you are gonna be disappointed any way because Rigo is gonna lose this fight. Rigo never fails to look like an amatuer fighter in most of his fights and that will be the case on April 13 when Donaire makes him look like a second class amatuer and not a 1st class amatuer
