Actually people have it backwards. New York is the only place it is illegal to wrap your hands the way Trinidad did. It's legal everywhere else. He just used lots of gauze to protect his hands. Extra gauze does not make punches harder at all. Trinidad was always a KO puncher because his KO punches traveled at high speed with lots of body weight behind them. Leverage. Proper technique. That's why he hit so hard. The way he wrapped his hands had nothing to do with his power. Trinidad was often knocked down but he was always back on his feet and on the attack in a flash. He almost always KOed the guy that knocked him down. In a career of fighting the hardest punchers he was only TKOed by Hopkins and he was on his feet when his father threw in the towel. If you slugged it out with Trinidad he would knock you out. I don't think brawlers like Kirkland, Thurman or Angula would last long at all.Comment

IDK about that when it comes to Floyd. I dont think his legs are nearly the same but I also dont know if he's a stationary now as people think he is. I think he's fighting these guys like this because he feels stronger & more comfortable at the weight while also knowing his a great insider fighter.
I think people are assuming he's going to fight Tito the way he did Cotto but I think he can still move good enough and he would definitely move more against Tito. I tell you what, I would favor the Floyd who beat Mosley over Tito.
He looks like he's regressed in terms of his legs & is looking alot older since then but I wouldnt be shocked if he can still move better than people think. I know one thing for sure, if his dad is truly back then I think you will start to see him use his legs more even if he is fighting a close rangeComment

tito and ike quartey would have a good chance to beat floyd.. Put it this way if floyd gets stunned like he did against mosely these 2 guys finish in devastating fashion.Comment
