I think what the thread starter is saying is, the first time Bradley went down the ref said it was a slip...which it wasnt. Bradley was hurt bad. The count would of started there and with Bradley getting back up and then falling down again, the ref may of stopped it or got close to a ten count.
Would Bradley have been KO'd in the first round if a knockdown had been called?

It's not a rule, Berbick went down three times off of one knockdown against Tyson and the ref kept counting until he went down the 3rd time.I think the argument is, if the knockdown was in fact ruled a scoring knockdown, Bradley would have been TKO'd by proxy of the fact he got up and fell back down again, that is an instant stoppage, as people have said look at Tsyzu's KO of Judah. Even after getting back up the second time Bradley fell back into the ropes. I'm fairly confident that if the knockdown was ruled the fight would have ended there.Last edited by Light_Speed; 03-17-2013, 09:49 AM.Comment

Don't mean to be a d*ck but wouldn't scoring a KD give the hurt fighter more time to recover? The question on this thread sounds ******ed in a way, was Bradley already KD twice and the ref didn't count the 3rd KD or what? Havent seen the fight by the way.Comment

Ok got it. The threadstarter didn't word it properly, but I guess the ref could have stopped the fight if see fit.I think what the thread starter is saying is, the first time Bradley went down the ref said it was a slip...which it wasnt. Please (to: posters in general) watch the fight before commenting or voting...
After being knocked down (the ref mistakenly ruled it a slip), Bradley tried to get up after going down but fell flat on his face. Then took his time to regain his composure and get back up w/the ref asking him whether he was alright. It was similar to the Tszyu v. Judah TKO.
Some people have raised some decent arguments. I'm not trying to convince anyone on a point of view, I just want to see what people think and why they do.Last edited by BafanaBafana; 03-17-2013, 03:20 AM.Comment
