Which is why it's worse to me. Quite frankly I don't believe that there were 10 posters here, (probably reflecting the entire boxing community), who actually picked Trout to win, however after the fight he seemed to get absolutely no credit.

Mosley on the other hand, hadn't look good since then. Making that particular incident safe to say.

when i was watching the lead up to the pac/cotto fight, it was no question who had the high ground imo. the sense was that pac had all the momentum and cotto was reeling and this was really his back against the wall shot of turning things around. not saying it wasnt a legit win, but it wasnt like most ppl felt cotto was gonna dominate pac. the question was whether pac could handle a true ww. but odds and most fans were with pac over cotto.

Floyd being the favorite isnt a legit argument. Hes always going to be the favorite no matter who he fights. He would be favored against Martinez, Trout, Canelo, whoever the hell it is. Floyd was an 8 to 5 favorite over Pacquaio back in 09 once they started negotiations.

Odds is = risk taken by the fighter.
Mosley was not a big risk for Floyd (though i applaud him for taking it).

Even less so from what we now know after Mosleys performance vs. Floyd, Mora, Pac and Canelo.

i actually did, i was dumbfounded cotto took the fight. i think jro did as well. there were a few. it was a very very high risk low reward pic for cotto. but then again its cotto. i may not like his fanbase but the guy has balls of steel.

Cotto was a huge favorite.

People are just playing captain hindsight.

Many said it was a risky fight for Cotto because Trout was not going to net him as much money as some easier fights.

I thought Pacquaio would beat Cotto with ease but in fairness, the fans were definitely 50/50 on the fight.

I knew Trout would be a very tough fight but I predicted a SD/MD type fight for Cotto.
