I was just pointing out that "look at his face" is a silly argument. Look at Pacquiao's face after the Clottey fight, for instance.

I'd put it differently but agree otherwise. Thurman doesn't have the coordination and footspeed Ortiz has demonstrated. He doesn't have the experience either.

So there's really no reason Ortiz could be able to touch Thurman. We haven't exactly seen Thurman fight anyone who could fight back as much as he himself does. Ortiz would touch Thurman, but you have to favor Thurman by mid to late TKO in my opinion.

I would really like to see Ortiz come back and fight Thurman or the Maidana/Lopez winner in September. I think he'll be fighting the Maidana/Lopez winner, while I think we could see Thurman fighting someone like Soto Karass next in the summer, than possibly Guerrero in the fall.
I wouldn't call Thurman a huge puncher. Sure, he can KO bums but what top ranked fighters has he stopped? When he stepped up a little he went the full 12. Expect more of the same as he moves up in competition. Thurman can be touched and Victor can punch. Ortiz could very well put Thurman face down, ass up.

I'd take Thurman, neither of them really have good defense, but of the two thurman has the better boxing ability.

Thurman should be able to frustrate Ortiz and Beat him.

alot of credit is being given to thurman. He hits real hard but he has terrible foot work. He backed up at times against a lesser puncher. And hes not the fastest guy. I actually think ortiz can over power him. And, Ortiz has faster hands and feet, and can also pop. But as always it depends on which ortiz shows up mentally
