Ortiz isn't standing up to that kind of power for 12 rounds.

Good fight.. I like Thurman. He still needs work but he has the power to make Ortiz quit. Also, Ortiz can show us what type of chin Thurman has.

I don't think Ortiz could take 12 rounds against Thurman, who's a huge puncher. But with that said, Zaveck's slow ass though he got beat handily, was able to touch Thurman here and there. So there's really no reason Ortiz could be able to touch Thurman. We haven't exactly seen Thurman fight anyone who could fight back as much as he himself does. Ortiz would touch Thurman, but you have to favor Thurman by mid to late TKO in my opinion.

I would really like to see Ortiz come back and fight Thurman or the Maidana/Lopez winner in September. I think he'll be fighting the Maidana/Lopez winner, while I think we could see Thurman fighting someone like Soto Karass next in the summer, than possibly Guerrero in the fall.

I think Thurman wins by KO. Ortiz is a dangerous puncher but Thurman has not shown a weak chin so far. Ortiz does not seem to have that good a chin and he lacks the determination that Thurman has. Thurman has real power and he seems to improve every fight. I think he is more than Ortiz can handle.

Assuming his jaw held up I'd take Ortiz. Thurman beating up old cab drivers and looking one dimensional doing it hasn't proven to me that he can hang on the B level yet. He is slow and predictable, and easy to hit.

This has the potential to be a highly competitive FOTY candidate type of fight.

Up until Ortiz quits, I mean.

Such an awful way to determine who will win a fight.
