Its not about Bradley getting the gift decision. Its about how he acted afterwards. I used to hold grudes against fighters who got gift decisions but then I realized they most likely have nothing to do with it.

I dislike Bradley for various reasons and its not cause of the gift decision. Its cause of how he acted afterwards. I also dislike his fake persona of a "tough guy" that he likes to play sometimes.

he said it was a tough fight and he'll have to go home and watch the tape. what else did you want him to say? has a fighter ever said "um i feel like the world's biggest loser please take the belt."?

it shows that he wasn't very confident that he deserved the win...i just don't see how bradley won this fight either. I mean i'm watching it right now and I'm still ending up with the same scorecard i had the other 3 times i watched the fight.

the idea that as time goes by people will start believing that bradley won is idiotic...i just don't see the logic behind this. nothing will change the fact that bradley got a gift.

I'm not talking about fight night. I'm talking about AFTER. He was acting like a douchebag.

Same here if he were to be real and a little more humble about the pac fight people would sympathize ... and also the way he acts and the things he says definitely brings hate upon himself

and i agree with you that Witter may stand as Bradley's finest display even now, five years on. i've praised his performance in that fight so often that it pains me slightly to regurgitate, but here goes.

what i found so impressive was not so much the opposition (although it was good, tricky, durable opposition), but rather the manner in which Bradley handled it. i'd never seen anyone flip the script on Witter and play him at his own game the way Bradley did. he was an extremely awkward guy who liked to have his own way, so that he'd frustrate you and make you look bad even if you beat him, but Bradley turned the tables, out-chessed him, out-frustrated him and ultimately took over the fight and looked dominant. nobody else who beat Witter looked so successful doing so. that he did it away from home, in a situation where he had to be convincing, just emboldened that.

quite a special, notable performance, relative to the level it was achieved at.
This is key to Bradley beating Witter and in doing so proving that he was not just a skilled fighter but one who could adapt, which is possibly the most important thing a boxer needs to do.
