Terrible for the sport.Better idea elect Kathy Duva,Dan Goosen, or Lou Dibella comish and make fights happen.They all let thier fighters fight and if they lose ..oh well rebuild them.

Erm no. The competition between promotional companies is better for the athletes as they can accept alternative offers. It is also beneficial for the fans as you have to put more effort into putting on a good show.

It would be similar to what happened with wrestling in the early 00s onward. WCW provided healthy competition when it got bought out things went down hill quickly.

If the networks wanted to they could put an end to this bull****. Honestly I think hbo and showtime should cut out the middlemen and promote thefighters themselves they already do t a certain extent. I guess that would still leave us with the same problem seeing how hbo fighters wouldn't be fighting showtime guys and vice versa but I still think the quality of fights put out there wouldbe better and the undercards as well.

Foolish assumptions. They can't even make Broner vs Burns/Vasquez/Abril. GBP is as crooked as TR. Look at what GBP has made, Broner/Reese and now Malignaggi. Schaefer is also pursuing another Mosley fight. Are these the kinds of fights fans really want?
