Junior welterweight contender Pablo Cesar Cano (26-2-1, 20KOs) says he was suffering from bad headaches and a high fever, which forced him to withdraw from Saturday's fight against Manuel Perez at the Grand Oasis Resort in Cancun. The problems began on Tuesday afternoon and they affected Cano to the point where he couldn't sleep. After discussing it with his doctor and manager Rolando Arellano, they felt it was best to withdraw from match and they Eric Gomez, vice president of Golden Boy Promotions, and his partner Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing.
