Negative. People are there to watch real fighters fight. Mares vs. PDL are the reason this will be a sell out. Two bad-ass Mexicans fighting on Cinco de Mayo. This should be the Main Event. Isn't Gabriel Rosado fighting on this card too? Makes a lot of sense now.

You actually think two mediocre Mexicans who couldn't sell out a fight in their back yard in Mexico are going to attract 16,000 people willing to pay $600 to $1,500 to see them fight. What a ******ed comment. I know people who are ONLY buying this because the Mares/PDL fight was added. They didn't buy it ONLY to watch that fight, but that fight being added is what made them decide they were going to purchase it. Mares/PDL isn't a mismatch like the main event I'll tell you that much.

Don't fall for the propaganda! Floyd COULD and SHOULD be fighting better fighters! He says he's his own boss and makes all his decisions, that means he has no matchmaker forcing him to face certain fighters. That's means he can fight who he wants to! Why does he keep wanting to fight over matched opponents? You think he wouldn't make more money fighting Canelo on May 4th, than Robert? So the question is, why Robert? It's an easier fight! The knock on Pac was always when he has gonna fight a young hungry fighter with speed and power! Floyd heard that and scammed the public with the Ortiz fight. A fighter with multiple losses to opponents if they had to called out Floyd, he would scoff at. But he(Ortiz) was worthy of getting his "lottery ticket" too. Another manufactured opponent for the great Floyd Mayweather! And im not knocking guys with losses im pointing out that skill wise these guys were not world beaters or expert technicians to begin with! I understand on length, but was meant for that particular poster! Some posters get on here and go Who else should be fight when there are better fighters than the ones he chooses. Yeah, GBP gets paid regardless. If seats don't sell the ticket brokers lose out. That's why Arum didn't want to do Pac/Bradley 2. The casinos and brokers weren't sure that they could push tickets for that fight.

From a business standpoint its not a bad idea. You transfer all the risk to the brokers and you get paid whether the arena is full or empty.
