A lot of people buy the PPV for the undercards. Fight Night is 5 De Mayo weekend. 5 DE MAYO, NOT MLK, BLACK FRIDAY or KUNTA KINTE day. We know what happens when the woman beater fights outside those dates. He only has about 300,000 PPV'S (Chavez JR sold over 500,000). There's a reason why this fake fights in May and September... Mexican holidays. So, the fool is you, Jamal.

Lay off the crack pipe, buddy. Like I said... too bad Jimbo Lampley wont be there or we would be hearing those famous words: "IT'S A PRO MEXICAN CROWD TONIGHT".
THE FIGHT IS ON 5 DE MAYO! How stupid are you? Like I said... let's see G@yboy fight outside that date. Dude wouldn't go over 300,000 ppvs.

So you're telling me that you would pay $60-70 for one fight? LOL, Jesus, you must a nut hugger or just stupid. I will not buy a card unless it's stacked. But then again... you're probably Ghetto. So, that explains. Carry on with that pipe
Can I ask your bytch ass something?? If people are buying this fight because of PDL and Mares... how come their original fight was not on PPV?? How come no other Mexican fights their own headline on a Mexican holiday and do as well as Mayweather?? How come Chavez vs Martinez who fought on a mexican holiday didn't come close to Mayweather numbers??

Stop making excuses the only person on this card who has ever headlined a PPV is Mayweather period end of discussion. Your bytch ass was and will watch this fight regardless who is on the under card. Who was on the under card of Cotto/Trout?? Exactly now just to shut your dumb ass up, lets see who gets more comments and what the media shows to the casual fan and the general public.

On ESPN, CBS, etc... it will be all Floyd and Rob, and your dumb stupid ignorant ass will have the audacity to say that dumb shyt?? You need to be smacked in the head for that ignorant comment.

But it does mean they're lying, or at least they're being extremely misleading. The press release says "Within twelve hours of going on sale, less than 1,500 seats remained for the Cinco de Mayo weekend event. It's obvious fans are clamoring to see boxing's biggest attraction." What they're trying to say is that within twelse hours, tickets sold out because fan demand is so huge. But not's true at all because tickets sold out quickly because of casino/broker demand is huge.

The tickets will all be sold and the seats are going to be filled by the time of the main event regardless. (they might be half empty during Ponce vs. Mares though.)

It's a sellout any way you want to look at it.

If only 1 ticket was given to ticketmaster to sell publicly, and the other tickets were given to casinos and brokers, you'd have no problem with golden boy proclaiming that they had a sold out show within a single minute because of strong fan demand?

Giving away the tickets themselves isn't the point. They could do that all they want. While it sucks, it's a free market. The point is that they're characterizing it in a way that's false and misleading. And it's wrong when everyone else does it as well.
