Why are pages of posts devoted to to whether Floyd knows or doesn't know who Andre Ward is?

It's self-explanatory you dimwits. If he knows that Ward's nickname is S.O.G, that he fights out of Oakland, and that he won a Gold Medal; then it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that he knows who he is.

Floyd saying that he doesn't who someone is, is the equivalent of UK/British fans chanting, "who are ya!!!, Who are ya!!!, Who are ya!!!", which Floyd should know all about, since they did it to him when he was promoting the Hatton fight.

thats because posters take everything floyd says literally so they can justify their criticism. if this was someone else (other than broner) this would've been pointed out in the 3rd post and this thread would be over.

I'm not religious but aparently the body is supposed to be a temple and not desicrated. thats why athletes who have been heavy in the church their whole lives do not have tats. but don't quote me on that.

This is no offense to NSB but I study the Bible and am aware of many things. I am certainly not saying anyone should go an get tattoos. And yes we are made after G-d's image so we shouldn't tattoo but the prohibition on tattoos really only applies to ***ish people not Gentiles. That being said, it's wiser to not get tattoos for many reasons and I'd prefer Ward didn't but I don't think it excludes him as a role model for G-d is all.

I agree. People seem to have a problem with everything about Floyd which is clearly THEIR PERSONAL PROBLEM!!!! The problem with Ward is he has to dare to be great because there is nobody in and around his weight that can make him great which is unfortunate for him. Andre will never be considered truly great unless he does something out of the norm like going for a heavy-wt title. Roy did it, Mike Spinks did it, Evander did it,etc. won't be easy but other than that it's agree on a catch weight for Gennady or Martinez which still won't make him an all time great. People seem to forget that Floyd came up from 130 beating all the top dawgs they put in front of him and is still unbeaten. Intelligent fight people have no choice but to compare him to the All Time Greats.

Id' argue that he has already done very impressive things and is on his way to being an all time great. The issue is not being great. It's being popular.

In that scenario, this is good for Ward because Floyd, not known to always have the most exciting style as well, is being a mouthpiece for Ward in a way Ward won't be for himself.

It doesn't matter. It also doesn't matter whether they took pictures together a few years ago, or whether you would remember someone just because you took pictures.

He mentioned his nickname, his Gold Medal, and his hometown. That's enough to know that he knows him.

I don't understand the hate?? Floyd sounds like a big'ol hater in this interview! Ward is an excellent fighter and a great person. Why not congratulate him on his success instead of trying to start beef with him. Ward has had injuries and doesn't talk a lot of trash those are the two main reasons he's not a PPV fighter just yet.
