Err he doesn't know Ward? Couldve sworn they have pics together and Ward hung out at his gym before... Typical Mayweather.

He doesn't know who Ward is but he knows most of his fights are in Oakland. He says Ward won't leave Oakland but he won't leave Vegas.
Like I said, he always says the same thing to discredit people, that he doesn't know them. Mayweather comes across as a stuck up b1tch who thinks nobody else matters or exists except himself.

Doesn't matter if its old or not. If you haven't noticed Mayweather always uses the same lame ass excuse to discredit people, "I dunno them". He said the same thing about Guerrero and now he's saying it about Ward. When there's evidence that they hung out together.

Yea I don't see what difference it being old made just wasn't sure if he had an explanation cause it was older maybe it was a photo op. But obviously he knows who Ward is i dunno why Mayweather plays dumb I guess its cause he doesn't see people who aren't "on his level" or some bs
My only take from this is that Floyd is saying that he "don't really know" meaning, he doesn't know Ward on a personal level all like that. Sure he knows who he is, but doesn't mean he "knows" them.
That's what I thought that meant. Me and Floyd could take a picture in a parking lot, spit 2 minutes of boxing talk and be on our merry ways, he might know my name afterwards, but he doesn't know me.
Other than that...I took nothing away, other than perhaps he feels Ward and Co. are poorly managed

If that is the case isn't that a bit of a redundant nickname? It's a bit like having the nickname "Person" or "Human".
I think you're wrong in this case. The nickname is referring to A - his deep rooted belief in religion & B - he's more talented than most so obviously one of the many deities in 'existence' has 'blessed' him with this special talent. Hence "Son of God".
Either that or he was a Carpenter in the Middle East before turning his hand to boxing.
He's said before he uses it because of his deep faith, but he's not calling himself THE son of God. That's accusing him of saying he's Jesus, or equal to Jesus. He's just calling himself a son of God because of how deeply religious he is. Ward is not the type of person to call himself something so offensive to others of the same faith.
Floyd should be helping to put Andre Ward on the map not bringing him down. Andre has the skills to be on the best fighters in boxing right now, but Floyd instead of giving him his due he calls into question his ability to sell fights..
