YOU THINK ABOUT what Ali, Robinson, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Chavez Sr, Arguello, Holyfield, Michael Spinks, Oscar, Mosley and Pacquaio all sought out to do in the ring. Fight the Best of the Best, IN their prime, multiple times, Win, Lose, or Draw, "Let's Get It On" as Mills Lane would say, and let money take care of itself. They wanted to know who the very best was. They knew Boxing wanted to know. They accommodated with the orginal Super-Fights. They laid it all on the line. That took machismo! Floyd Mayweather has NEVER wanted to take those risks or challenges. He made Mosley and Cotto wait more than 10 years to fight; they were too dangerous in their Prime. He's made Pacquaio wait more than 4 years, and today with two consecutive losses, Floyd still won't fight Manny, for being too dangerous; although Floyd will share with you a dozen rambling excuses. Floyd wouldn't fight Marcos Maidana after he destroyed Victor Ortiz in 8 rounds; Floyd chose Ortiz (the loser) anyway... what Champion ever does that?!!? To this DAY, Mayweather/Pacquiao would be the biggest gate in Boxing History. Pacquiao agreed to all terms Mayweather asked for. Manny said he'd take less money. Floyd still sees too much risk. It would sell out in an hour, regardless of the last two fights Manny had. Those Legends beforementioned, would have made that fight happen with each other in a heartbeat, and they did! NOT Floyd. Floyd is all about the money, all about a manufactured undefeated record, and that's fine, that's who he is. He will just never go down as a Legend of the Sport. Fans could care less about the money, the biggest PPV numbers. Fans want to see who fought the best competition in prime years, and who came out on top. Muhammad Ali was asked before his first fight with Joe Frazier, "Muhammad, what happens if you lose this fight to Frazier?????" To which Ali replied, "I WILL BE OUT ON THE STREET THE NEXT DAY SCREAMING, NO MAN EVER BEAT ME TWICE!!!!" How good is that! He could care less about a hand picked undefeated record. He wanted to fight the best, multiple times if need be, to be the considered the Greatest of All Time. Not the same mold Mayweather comes from.
I won't take up for Floyd here, I will let someone else do that. But you really shouldn't include Manny in the names you mentioned. He has the most cherry picked career in history. Just because he moved up in weight doesn't mean they were tough challenges. Manny is a great fighter but he gets WAY too much credit.

Theres no point for floyd to fight pacgirl. he got ktfo. marquez proved that boxing a wild animal like pacgirl will tame him, getting him mad and knock him out. bradley is too weak for 147. belongs in the 140 dvision. maidana is good but is not on mayweather level. he coulndt beat weak ass alexander!
mayweather already beat marquez with ease.

the only fights left for money are guerrero, sergio (too big) and canelo (which i think is too big too)

Bullshhhh...Jim Lampley just put that on blast this past weekend. Floyd gets a guarantee per fight..one fight mandatory on the deal and the option for 5 more. What this deal is, Showtime is guaranteeing Floyd's fight money instead of GBP..no different than what he had before except the guarantee comes from the network not the promoter. I'm tired of crap journalism and folks eating it up like it's legit. Jim Lampley was not the only reporter to state this, several others have as well. I'm seriously thinking this site has gone to the ****ter..so many unreported boxing movements and tons of half azzed information being distributed.

Too big? Well conveniently Cotto wasn't too big at 154 and Cotto was ready to fight Canelo or Martinez..but somehow they are too big for Floyd? So you admit cotto at 154 was a cherry pick? Clearly Cotto does not belong at 154 and is only there because he's too lazy to make 147 these days, so you legitimize him for winning a belt at 154 but not being willing to fight current and former champions of the division? If a man can make the weight to fight at that division he's not too big..ask Martinez about it he fought a damn near cruiserweight at 160. You say he shouldn't fight Pacquaio because he was KO'd..yet none of the names you mentioned can generate the kind of sales/revenue Pacquaio brings in KO'd or not. Honestly people will find any excuse..one minute it's well he shouldn't fight such and such because they aren't a big name and pull in no money..the next it's because someone took a loss. I think Mayweather fans have been way too spoiled by his unblemished record and love to stand behind that 0 like it means that much. I'd rather have a fighter with a few loses who fought good opposition than one who picked carefully to avoid any risk. Pacquaio earned my respect for continuing to fight Marquez even though everyone and their mother knew he was fighting a guy with far superior skills to him and all he wanted was to overcome it..I can respect that. He could've easily taken a lesser challenging fight but didn't.
