But with regards to what was actually written in the article, he's definitely faced better competition in his 40's than he has during his younger years. But I think that's the result of getting more exposure and opportunities. He was living in a James Toney/Roy Jones world in the 90's and flew under the radar until 2001 when he upset Felix Trinidad.

I`v e been saying that Hopkins is still in his prime but just because he lost to Dawson people accuse Hopkins or being badly faded when in reality Dawson is a very good fighter whose hard to look good against.

Trinidad / Pavlik / Cloud / are SLOW, come forward fighters, that have to be completely set to punch. Those are tailor-made for Bernard Hopkins. Losses to Calzaghe and Dawson. Both are multi-dimensional boxers w/ speed and athleticism. There's not many talents in these divisions.
