Makes no sense (unless of course they have some agendas ).

Logically this is what we should have got:

Garcia vs Matthysse
Peterson vs Khan II
Broner vs Judah or Khabib Allakhverdiev
Thurman vs Paulie

Instead Broner is fighting Paulie which makes zero sense. Matthysse isn't fighting his mandatory, Garcia is fighting whack ass Judah and these winners fight eachother THEN fight Khan?? Lol Khan's the king now?

ya i hear you and def agree but I just want to see Matthysse vs Danny Garcia fight and I would love to see Matthysse face Broner but i dont see Golden Boy/Haymon making that fight unfortunately.

I disagree with your assesment but it is what it is. These are all solid fights if you ask me, Khan & Broner should also be fighting someone decent in there next fight so it all works out to me

It's not that Khan is the king, it's that he's out of the picture for now, as he should be. Assuming he fights 2 or 3 on the side, with the last fight being against the loser of one of these other fights then he should be back in the mix - he's already fought 3 of the 4.

By securing the tourney, it locks him out of getting an unwarranted rematch because he might bring more money and also be an easy target right now. He might not even make it back, they just kinda hope he does. It also accomplishes the goal of having the others not duck Matthyse should he continue winning.

I guess it could have been expanded to include Khan and some others but he shouldn't really be in there right now and adding two more match-ups means it could push 2 years.

khabib has a fight and is with TR, theres nothing wrong with lucas-lamont, if danny didnt get hurt we might have gotten garcia-khan but nothing you can do. broner just moving up for money and a belt, theres plenty of time for him to fight the "bigger names"

Yes he lost, so why should he get to inject himself into a tourney of winners (-Zab). Those are the best guys not Khan. I don't think it's protecting him, he got his shot already - he's lost and is irrelevant to this right now. Who knows if he's even there or if politics go in another direction. He's been sent packing to the uk to face nobodies just like a lot of KO victims do, if he can make it back out what's the big deal.
