The two-weight World Champion will fight for the first time under Eddie Hearn live on Sky Sports on May 11, at a venue to be announced soon.

Burns’ last outing was his comprehensive win over Kevin Mitchell at the SECC in Glasgow on September, where the 29 year old defended his WBO Lightweight title in style with a fourth round stoppage.

Burns follows unbeaten Commonwealth super middleweight star George Groves into the brightest stable of British talent, and the 29 year old said he cannot wait to get back in the ring.

So Frank Warren is left with Cleverly and Chisora? Haha.

I doubt the issues with Warren's contract have been resolved. This might end up like Donaire and Golden Boy.

Frank Warren hasn't won a court case in years, this will be fine. Matchroom wouldn't sign Burns unless they knew it was a safe bet. Warren's just posturing as usual.

As well as Saunders, Mitchell and Gavin. Haven't heard much from them lately.

For a promoter who used to have Ricky Hatton, Joe Calzaghe, Prince Naz, Nigel Benn etc etc. Saunders, Mitchell, Gavin, Cleverly and Chisora is a pretty weak stable. Frankie Gavin should leave as soon as he gets the chance. I would love to see him getting more fights, but it's not happening for him with Warren.

Hopefully they can get Abril if they're waiting until May to fight.
