but you did not offer your own analysis of those rounds. you just told me to watch them muted.

When watching it without audio you can clearly see that Hopkins did NOT win those rounds. Not even closely.

round 7 is a Hopkins round, one of the rounds that i stated he won clearly. if you can't see that he won it clearly, you're delusional or just don't know how to interpret ring generalship, clean punching and defence.

in my breakdown (posted in your thread), i stated that round 8 was the closest round in the fight since rounds 1 and 2. however, i still gave it to Hopkins, because i felt he shaded it with better work overall. if i gave that close round to Cloud, my card would just read 117-111 Hopkins instead of 118-110, so Hopkins still wins widely.

But you ducked the thread cause it hurt too much.

i declined to comment further because 1. HBO commentary has no impact on my scoring (i actually watched this fight on BoxNation, and i pay no attention to their commentary either) and 2. i had already provided my analysis of those rounds, while you provided no analysis of the action to back up your claim that they were clear Cloud rounds. you keep stating that they were clear Cloud rounds, but you don't analyse the action to state why you think this, so your posts are worthless at this stage.

Ring generalship and controlling the pace of the fight is also part of winning rounds. No hopkins didn't throw as many as cloud but he threw at a way better percentage rate. This isn't the amateurs where you throw a bunch of tap punches and win.
