He was getting a hit pretty easy by a much smaller opponent.

People just keep hating on Paulie man. They guy is tough as nails and will fight anyone but yet people love to trash him. Sure he has no power, and? If he doesn't have it, he doesn't, what is he supposed to do? Paulie has more balls than half the fighters out there. I mean the guy fought the most terrifying version of Cotto at MSG, the undefeated JWW KO artist and still went 12 with him with a broken jaw.

Also I think its hilarious that Thurman and Broner are both only calling out Paulie lol. They want the one guy at WW who has no power and direct all their trash to him. It is what it is but I will tell you what, I am going to laugh if Paulie beats one or both of them. Not saying he can but it would be hilarious.

This is a very risky and brave move by Broner moving up to 147. All the 140 pound fighters now have an advantage over him when fighting at 147, because they only have to go up one weight division, not two. If they refuse to move up to 147 to fight Broner, then that means they are not confident they can win at that weight, or maybe they are just ducking Broner. I don't expect them to not move up, but I do suspect their fans/Broner haters don't feel they can. That is attributed to all the crying about Broner avoiding 140.

He's not that good defensively. His offense however, is grade A. But his defense gets overrated because he copies Floyd to a T, but that is only with looks. As far as actually not getting hit like Floyd, he fails at it. Imitates it well as far as stance, but that's where it stops.

I like Paulie but I can't help but see Broner doing what Khan did to him.

I just read a post overrating Broner's defense, followed by a post underrating Broner, and overrating Cotto pretty bad.

                    Smart title grab

Everybody knows Malignaggi is the titleholder to gun for. Even though Broner is jumping up 2 weight classes he really is a fighter built for 140 instead of 35 and Malignaggi is a smallish welter so there will not be a weight advantage. Paulie says they have weight classes for a reason and thats true to a certain extent unless you evaluate who your moving up against. Broner is going to be facing a light punching welter who he will likely outweigh on fight night, not a hard punching guy who will have a size advantage. Broner is going to overwhelm this guy Khan style. Atleast Broner is stepping up and not using his weight advantage in this fight, though he is leapfrogging the beasts at 140 (Matthysse, Rios, Peterson). Your health will be intact much better if its Paulie on the other side of the ring instead of any of those guys. Broner is taking a significant step up in class here, Malignaggi isn't Demarco. Broners never had to fight a guy with Paulie's fairly deep skill set, movement, and experience. If Broner wins and decides to move back to 35 and test himself against Vasquez to see who truly owns the lightweight division then Paulie will get him ready for that fight. But he will probably either fight another obscure lightweight or expose Danny Garcia (unless Zab beats him to it). Ricky Burns will have lost to Vasquez by then.

Damn...that's a pretty good assessment of the situation there.
