PAC doesn't have to bullrush Morales all the time. He can use his speed and quickness to do a lot of side and lateral movements to negate Morales' jab. It's obvious Morales will use the jab a lot on this one and PAC can set Morales up via the lateral movement which will trap Morales and opening him up to flush hooks and flush uppercuts.

PAC has to stay focused and he has to learn to adjust. Some instances calls for him to bullrush Morales, and in some, to apply lateral movement.

He does that and Morales will be hit by a lot of flushes, the jab will be near-useless and it will be a painful night for Morales.

Morales will pack a bit more power due to him using the Reyes but no more defense on the face and it opens Morales' hands to injury.
for one, raheem and manny have different styles... and from what you have pointed out, it is easier said than done bro... raheem is a boxer, manny is not... manny is used to bullrushing opponents, not boxing... while lateral movements can be greatly helpful, it does not mean that it will give him the fight... morales was (gulp) out of shape in the raheem fight and clearly did not anticipate what raheem did...

In my opinion however, PAC will live and die with his straight left coz it's his bread and butter in boxing. It's his "Kareem Abdul Jabbars skyhook" and I don't think he has to change that. He just need to add a little firepower to his already lethal arsenal. PACMAN's powerful left is a rare gift and it has taken him where he is right now.
        amen to that bro...

for the record, IMO he was out of shape... he looked sluggish and bloated... and he showed slow movements... i give it to raheem that he outboxed and outplayed erik, but the fact remains that he beats a morales who is not in his top form

Actually it is MUCH easier for a a slugger with raw and unforgiving power to turn into a finesse boxer. All he has to do is the right training, both mentally and physically. In training a slugger can be a great boxer. Boxing skills are not innate and it is only acquired through rigid training.

On the other hand, the killing power of a punch can NEVER be trained. Either you have that in you or you don't.

In short, a slugger can be the best boxer through rigid training.

A boxer can never acquire the raw power of a slugger even if he trains himself till he puke. You either have it or you don't.

I'm really hyped for this fight all-of-a-sudden. I'm gonna watch the first fight tonight, i hate these weekends with virtually no boxing.

Body work & more body work. If anyone remembers in the 1st MAB vs. EM fight MAB hurt him to the body a couple of times. In the 1st round of the EM vs. Pac fight Pac hurt him to the body but went back to head hunting which cost him the fight. If Pac is more committed to work the body this fight & couple that on the fact that EM fades down the stretch of fights, it could get really interesting.

I just saw a video of Manny in training today, he really looked very focused and is in top physical condition. I could see no reason why he can't win.

If God forbid Manny loses, I don't think it could be by KO or TKO. Manny is trully a monster in training.

Whoo!! I can't wait for the fight to happen...I have problems sleeping.
