Hopkins will only fight fighters he know he can beat. We won't ever see an Andre Ward/Hopkins fight because Andre Ward would make him look silly. People keep using age as an excuse for Hopkins to duck Andre Ward, yet after last nights Impressive Performance, can age really be the excuse still?

I mean Hopkins just beat a fighter that lost to Gabriel Campillo, what's more impressive then that? Maybe beating an inexperienced fighter like Nathan Cleverly?

Plus your quote makes no sense. Going into last night he was coming off a loss to Chad Dawson. So he had just fought a fighter who he couldn't beat.

hopkins has tried to make friends with the best fighter of this era around his weight class, ward looked and sounded embarrassed that hopkins was all over his schlong saturday night.. "i dont know what he's saying, but he said we'll never fight"

hopkins is being way too overly kind to a kid he has no history with at all, if hopkins cares about his legacy as much as he says he would fight and beat ward, it would easily be the biggest win on his resume.. but no, he ducks it like he ducked the previous king of his era roy jones.

he was forced to fight dawson after years of the fans pushing it, remember what happened the first time? hopkins found a way out of the fight by faking injury.

In the rematch Chad Dawson completely embarrassed Bhop, in the same way Ward would completely embarrass Bhop. Duck the best, fight an inexperienced euro fighter such as Nathan Cleverly. Remember when Bhop was calling Kessler a bum?
