At this stage in Hopkins career, i think Froch would be to much for him. Froch on points.

Hopkins wins in my opinion. I thought Cloud would beat Hopkins but Hopkins showed he has still got enough left to beat lots of guys and I think Froch is one of them. Froch is game as hell. He takes a good punch and he hits hard. He has good stamina and a great will to win. I don't think he is a very good boxer or very clever or hard to hit. He can be sloppy and leave himself open. Ward and Kessler both outpointed him and Taylor was well in front when Froch KOed him in the last round. Hopkins would take advantage of Froch's mistakes and potshot and wrestle his way to a close decision win.

At 75 you got a serious fight.
Hopkins already tried to make the fight at either light heavyweight or a catch weight pretty close to 175 (can't remember), and Froch rightfully declined. With both comfortable making weight, id take Froch in a close, probably controversial fight. Unlike Cloud, i think he has the tools to get cut down the ring and let his hands go a lot more, plus his boxing is too respectful for Hopkins to just man handle him like that and hit him whenever he wanted too the way he did last night. Hopkins looks bad against fighters that makes him look his age and i think Froch's work rate, hard flurries and the ability to fight 12 hard rounds, would give him the edge.

          Froch wins imo

people confuse him for a crude brawler, but he's actually not, he just sometimes looks a bit like one.

A few years back I would have definitely said Bore Hard, as much as I love The Cobra.

            Today I still probably would.

Does Hopkins pull off another Andre Ward type performance on Froch or does Froch and his determination to win get to Hopkins late on for a stoppage?

I thin most Brits would be curious if this fight happened, with the Calzaghe ties it adds another dimension to it . Who do you guys have?
Hopkins will die at 168. At 175, I dunno...Hopkins possesses something that surprises his opponents.

Right now Froch would take it. Hopkins is a lot more passive now, he regulates his energy a lot more.

I don't think Hopkins has the power anymore to hurt Froch, so Froch would put massive pressure on Hopkins and beat him.
