As far as more money,to their respect opponents..I believe Maidana would make more money fighting Garcia and maybe Peterson(if the fight was held in D.C.)now all the other stuff your talking,bringing money to the venue I don't know..The promoter get's paid off the event in general..So you know the promoter is always going to love a fighter who can draw fans in..

I'm not taking a dig at Khan at all..I believe he is a fighter who brings thins to the table..But the notion he is some crazy draw is a bit funny to me being that this kid has never really sold well in the states..HBO(as we know)will pay big for big fights..If the fight is not big they won't pay big money for it..

Peterson will make nice bank and so will Matt's if they get this fight done..I would think more money then Khan in his next fight..We already know Garcia is making more then Khan as well..

But that is weak that Khan gets a Automatic Shot at who ever wins that little 4 Man Tournament like he is the #1 Guy at 140 they all have to fight each other while he will be off to the side fighting guys like Julio Diaz

I would not be shocked if Lamont Peterson comes out the Top Guy at 140 when it is all said and done though! Shocking EVERYBODY! Just when you think a division is going one way it can take a turn and next thing you know a fighter you never expected anything from is sitting at the top of it...it happened with Andre Ward at 168! Excellent post. I like all the fighters in this tournament, but I'm pulling for Peterson. The guy can fight and has excellent boxing IQ. I think if he gets past Matthysse, he won't have a problem with anyone else.

I agree,he should at least have to fight Denis Shafikov..I believe GBP spent a lot of money on promoting Khan and want to try and make good on their investment..As for star power,Khan still has the highest ceiling..Although I can see Garcia becoming a star as well..
