    Hopkins says no to Ward

Did I hear correct? Did Hopkins say he would not fight Ward for nay amount of money? And did I hear him beg for a network in his interview. HAHA Not one of Hopkins bets interview moments.

So what do you guys think? Why does he not want to fight Ward?

Probably because Ward would beat him without too much bother.

They are friends and both have said this for a few years.

Good firends and they have ruled the fight out previously.

There are fights still there if B-Hop wants them, Cleverly being the fight to unify, so he has plenty of options that don't include Ward.

being friends is a silly excuse. If it's because Hopkins is afraid that's even worse. He says he keeps on fighting because he can and because he believes he can still beat the best, Ward is one of the best...ahh well, can't ask too much of Hopkins at this stage.

Why does being friends with someone rule out them fighting each other? So many boxers today must have know each other from some point in their careers through the am's or gyms.

Smart of Hopkins to befriend someone he can't touch and then can easily say he won't fight his friend. Hopkins is an intelligent boxer but with that he is also a tremendous conman and as a manager for himself, he has done a masterful job, even better than he has done as a boxer. Super shrewd and slick.

lol what the hell are you trying to imply here? 48 year old hopkins who has fought everyone is ducking someone? Get real. Ward is at 168 and Hopkins 175 there isn't even a need or even the slightest public demand to fight. They both respect eachother and are friends, just leave it at that.

How can you say there is no public demand?

Ward has talked about moving up to 175 for a long time now. The top 2 guys at 175? Dawson and Hopkins. If Ward doesn't fight Dawson then who is there that is more viable than Hopkins (considering Hopkins said he'll be around another 5 years).

Would Ward get the same respect for fighting Cloud or Pascal, especially if Hopkins unifies against Cleverly.

I'm not saying Hopkins is ducking Ward or vice versa, but both guy seem wary of fighting one and another.

hopkins is smart enough to know his limits - ward beats him easy - it is known.
