I dont think it was about him (or me for that matter) thinking Cloud was the better fighter, but I for one did not think Hopkins would have the reflexes to get out of the way of Clouds punches effectively once rounds 8, 9, 10 hit. Or keep up with the workrate I thought Cloud would make a point to employ.
But Hopkins reflexes are still good, his chin is solid, Cloud simply can not set a pace while moving, and Hopkins is the mu****in man Happy for him.Comment

people just dont get it...
did you ever consider there is a reason he couldnt just rush in guns blazing?
because he was getting razor punched, short inside, outside, turned....
hopkins feints and spacing keeps fighters out of range..
put some gloves on and get into a ring.Comment

He stopped Cloud in his tracks several times. You could see how frustrated Cloud was throughout the fight.people just dont get it...

And those cuts were all from sharp punches. It was comical to see Cloud honestly think he got hit with an elbow when the replay clearly showed a punch.Comment

This fight showed the grace, and intelligence from the ring in which Bernard Hopkins is King. Though not done with what some fans want, he showed at a great age of 48 he could make a 30 years strong man fight his fight! It was a great fight for the big fans and truely impressive. The executioner showed great poise and drive at such an age in which most people show a desire of fighting to get of the couch.
He has proven once again, how Great his legacy truely is!Last edited by BigAlexSand; 03-10-2013, 01:16 AM.Comment

Nah, I'm over it. Hopkins didn't win on paper but he didn't loser either. Just saw your post and had to reply. If you baited me into a lengthy debate over who won, I wouldn't bite. Not tonight on post-fight night.Comment
