All of 140 is tied up right now anyway, why not go up and get that strap and then take care of the 140 guys. I hope this dude isnt moving too fast though.
Classic excuses for a duck... boring, rival promoter blah blah. When in fact Vazquez is with Zanfer not TR.

      You're an idiot.

Tszyu was hurt in 2004 when Floyd entered 140, and Floyd fought Corley, who was a Top 5 JWW at the time and coming off a close fight with Judah. Tszyu came back in late 2004 and fought Mitchell, while Floyd positioned himself for a fight against the #1 JWW contender at the time, Gatti. Floyd-Gatti was made and Tszyu-Hatton was made. Hatton beat Tszyu, Floyd destroyed Gatti.

After Floyd-Gatti, Top Rank publicly said Floyd-Cotto wasn't going to happen because Cotto "wasn't ready". And Floyd-Hatton didn't happen because Hatton and co. wasn't ready yet either. Hatton really only got serious about fighting Floyd in 2006 after Floyd moved up to 147, and they fought in 2007 when both were prime and unbeaten.

Arent all the big names at 140 already scheduled with other fights? Broner would be a fool to pass up this payday and easy title. Plus who else could he legitmately fight in June?

His trainer said he will weigh in 142 lbs, don't panic folks, he will go down to 140 after the fight. You really think he will pass up a 4th weight class title? he wants to emulate his idol in every way possible.

No chance in Hell that fight goes down.
That's not what I said at all though obviously it's a fight they want near the end of Floyd's career.

What I said was IF he wins a belt at 147, everyone at 140 will want to fight him at 147 because they have a shot at a belt in Floyd's weight class giving them a good shot to get a Floyd fight. So, besides the fact he can simply go back down, Broner isn't ducking anyone at 147.

23 years old and already @ 147, something tells me Thurman will be calling him out after Paulie.

I would have liked to see Broner stay around 135 for Abril, Burns, or Gamboa, but oh well. He can still go down to 140 after this fight.

                  You think?

24/7, trash talk non stop from Paulie and Broner and then go down to 140 with more fame and an extra title.

Paulie is vastly more exciting than Vasquez and is actually a very good style match up for Broner. He's not a monster which is why they
are matching him with Broner but it is a fun and interesting fight.
