Do you think Golden Boy does a good job promoting its events?

There is no doubt that GB has the best stable of fighters right now and have a hell of a lineup of fights coming up but do they do a great job of promoting their events? I remember seeing a list of events from their shows last year and it was crazy how many free tickets they gave away for each event.

Also you had Peterson fighting at home in a title fight and got only about 4k there, you had rising star Berto only draw about 4,800 for his fight in AC. Tonight they said they are expecting about 6,000 there at the Barclays and I would have thought there would have been more than that.

Are they not building their fighters a following or do they not do enough promotion for the events or what?

I know it's all over HBO. They could probably sell out Barclay with a Danny Garcia vs Zab Judah main event. I think people in New York would come to see Zab fight for the title.

Neither Hopkins or Dawson are from New York. I think that's why. Berto is a overrated draw besides on HBO. He don't sell out arenas. If they only could have stacked the card alil better with one more sick fight. Thurman vs Zavack is s triple or quadruple header opener not a cofeature.

Peterson isn't a draw even though he's an exciting fighter. Broner is still way to fresh to be a draw. He will get their soon if he is as they say the next mayweather. He just needs names to fight like Mayweather did. Broner vs Rees is an awful fight.

First thing they should do is get him to learn and speak English.

Boxing overall SUCK at attracting new fans and YOUNGER FANS!

GBP have their fighters they want to promote into Superstars (Broner, Canelo, Khan, Ortiz) then the others they are just on the roster and have to kinda Promote themselves like Lucas Matthysse and Erislandy Lara

I think they do a great job in Cali, as for their events in New York i think they screw up alot. Cloud-Bhop, thurman co feature, in brooklyn?? huh?? garcia-judah is solid. but tonights event makes no sense

There was a 4,800 attendance for Broner-Ress, but Eddie Hearn (Rees' promoter) claimed there was less than 2,000 tickets sold.

4,000 for Peterson is pretty good considering he only fought on ESPN against a low level opponent. The Khan fight drew 9,000.
