Credit where it is due. Great bodywork from Thurman paid off dividends later on. But I'll stand firm that Zaveck didn't do what he's done in the past, Thurman's neutralizing tactics taken in account.

That being said, this wasn't the test we were hoping for, since Thurman shut Zavck down before he could take him to some waters he hadn't been in before.

i'm not telling his promoters who they should match him with, that's up to them. i'm just saying which kind of fighter i think would be a test.

they just put him in with a former titlist who wasn't a shot fighter, but a specific type of fighter. my point is that Zaveck's package was never going to be that stiff of a test, this was always going to play out in a routine fashion. a longer guy who doesn't just come straight in behind a tortoise-shell with tortoise speed would test Thurman.

Wasn't trying to discredit no one, I was just giving Zaveck props for his Toughness if anything...the man Toughness and Guard allowed him to make it to 12 Rounds against a Heavy Puncher

In return Thurman had the smart strategy for a guy with strong chin and a defensive shell that is hard to penetrate and take patients to get around it, I thought Thurman patiently did that...Thurman is a fighter on the rise, he gets better every fight and also showed some In Ring IQ this fight, he did not just head hunt and swung at Zaveck guard, he also went around the guard and to the body and I was impressed with that

So no question this win makes Thurman a legit threat and contender at Welterweight Now!
