Does anyone still NOT think Chris Arreola is a glorified journeyman?

I remember when a few people used to always say "if he lost 20lbs, he could be champ"

    Erm....

Anyways, this guys best win is like Jameel McCline or someone, and he lost concisely to Adamek, who is a gatekeeper at heavyweight

His fans always say "i've seen pics of him, he's down to 220lb" and then he rolls up 245+ as usual, even if he was 220, he's not going to suddenly become the second coming of Ali, he'll just be weaker.

I mean here his is at 234, and he still looks like a fat ass, unless he's like below 200, he's never going to be ripped

So, anyone still reckon the nipple is tha troof?

Yeah, I mean very few will argue otherwise. He's a decent fighter for today's horrible HW division, but him losing to small ass Adamek really demonstrated how much he sucks.

He's a guy who, if he ever had the drive to dedicate himself to the sport, could have been a good fighter in today's crap heavyweight division. Of course, if he doesn't even have the dedication to lose weight and get in shape, how can anyone expect him to put in the work required to develop any skills?

I'd say he's much better than most give him credit for. He lost to Adamek but you can't evaluate him based on 1 fight. When Vitali was still 90% of what he was in his prime, Arreola gave him a hell of a tough test. I'd say he would have a 50% chance of beating Pulev, a 45% chance of beating Haye, and a 35% chance of beating Wladimir.

I don't think you necessarily have to be ripped, but you can't just turn up fat and expect to win top heavyweight fights on a regular basis.

I still believe we have yet to see the best Arreola. Problem is, he's now had a too long layoff again, so it depends how he turns up for the Stiverne bout, if that fight happens. He's a guy who needs to stay active, otherwise he'll blow up in weight. He needs more discipline, maybe a new trainer?

              This is true.
An Adamek rematch would be much warranted for.

                Garbage fighter.

Even if he showed up at 210 in good condition, he'd still be garbage as he simply isn't good. He could beat some of the cans in the division, but he hasn't got a hope against a Klitschko, Haye or even the average Povetkin.

agreed. hes a good puncher with a great chin. but his skills are terrible, hes slow and extremely one dimensional. he was never gonna win a title under any circumstance, i called it from day one.

Areola vs povetkin would be a good fight, arreola might not have the best skills but he is an exciting fighter.
