if you are gonna quote me you should at least read what i wrote. i said NOTHING like that.

i said he didnt get robbed not because of where he was but because he simply didnt win the fight by a large enough margin. and yes you do have to win the fight by a clear margin, not dominate but win clearly.

why? because scoring a fight is often a matter of opinion, thats why there are 3 judges and thats why this thread was made in the first place. when it comes to close rounds one judge can score it for fighter A, the second judge to fighter B and the third have it a draw and nobody has to be wrong.

so while you dont have to dominate every single round to win, you cant let there be too many swing rounds and assume you will come out on top. you have to go out there and put rounds in the bag, if you do that and still dont get it, thats a robbery. but matthysse didnt. he let get so close it became a matter of opinion who won.

most "fans" just score it for whoever is coming forward and thats why most ppl have him winning big, but if you take all criterias into account it was a really close fight. i personally scored the fight for judah by a point, it wouldnt be wrong if matthysse won though. there were so many swing rounds that could have gon either way. but it wasnt wrong for judah to get it either.

You have to win the fight on a clear margin? Lucas clearly did that. He clearly won 9-12, 6 and 2. Those are rounds that Judah cannot possiblely have won. That automatically gives him the win with the KD. This is without any "swing" rounds. The fight was relatively closer then most robberies but it had a clear winner. There is absolutely no way you can make a case for Judah winning if you count punches. If you count just on "ring generalship", which was just Judah running, then you have Judah winning.

Break down the fight and explain how Judah won. Everybody who scores the fight for Judah says he wins on ring general ship and defense. How can go won on defense when the other guy is landing more cleaner harder shots? It's impossible. Use the boxing criteria 25% a piece and Lucas still easily wins. Only thing you can possible give Judah is ring generalship, the other 3 Lucas easily had better

But this is ignoring the fact that boxing is about landing clean hard punches

Some pretty bizarre reasoning being offered by Matthysse's critics all round here. Strange that such an unassuming guy gets some people so upset.

Lucas is the type of fighter everybody should be, it's odd that people are ****ting on him over guys like Devon who doesn't fight anymore and clearly lost 3 fights in a row and got robberies for 2 of them and Judah who ran the whole time and cried against khan trying to fake a low blow

IMO what's bizarre is the defending of Matt's short comings..If ya wanna say you thought Matt's beat Judah,fine..But it's obvious Matt's did not clearly win the fight(which you and others have stated in this thread)..If he had,everyone would be in agreement(no?)..What you(and Crushing)are trying to do is tell people how to view a fight,which is crazy..Everyone see's a fight how they see it..Yes we can debate,but it won't change anyone's view on how to really score a fight tbh..Everyone has a method(weather you agree with it or not)and things they look for in a fight..

The strange thing is how people are going so hard to discredit the losses Matt's has..IMO they made him a better fighter,he fights with more urgency then in the past..He cut's the ring off better as well..He had to work hard to get back to this place he's at now,that can be a positive for him in the long run as well..

His had 2 opportunities and won them both, clearly! All he didn't do is KO which is all he could have done to win.

It's sad what boxing fans resort to to discredit a fighter, goin by the "official scorecard", yet can't explain a fighter winning the fight by his in ring actions.

It's strange to see guys go to the point where they're denying that robberies even exist, that or saying that if they do exist then they're the fault of the guy who got robbed. At least they're in a small minority though, you won't find many boxing fans who'll refuse to acknowledge that hometown fighters get gift decisions.
