I agree with most posts here. Ortiz is a flake. He said "I'm the type of guy that does what he's told." But he instead strikes me as a type of guy that tells people what they want to hear.

That and when you talk to him you're talking to a tree. LOL

Ortiz is a dumb@ss. It's about time he zips it regarding this whole Mayweather incident, so everyone can forget about it

Yeah he's a bullshitter. He'll say anything to put the blame on someone else for his own fuck ups.

I think Ortiz is telling the truth. It's common for a trainer to tell his fighters these kind of things. It's bad for Victor to talk about it now after the fact. Some things a boxer and trainer should keep quiet about. This was one of them.

Does anyone else remember this? I can't remember if it was a video or an article.
I remember something about this. They were b*tching about Mayweather using his elbows the week of the fight, I don't remember what exactly Garcia said about retaliating though.

It is impossible to know who is telling the truth. I have to say Ortiz's head butts were the most obvious, intentional head butts I have seen since I saw a film of Jim Flynn head butting Jack Johnson about 100 years ago.He was leaping at Mayweather head first like a billy goat. If Mayweather was slick with his elbows Ortiz was totally unslick with his headbutts.

Hahahaha that's probably what happened. I like Ortiz but why did he say his trainer told him to do it? Before he said it was an accident now he's (probably) lying again. Makes everyone look bad and almost make him deserve a sucker punch unless he really did take 17 elbows

If you watch the Berto fight Ortiz used his head alot in that one also. Ref warned him so many times I lost count. Never took a point though. It's still a legit win against Berto but just saying... Ortiz has track record when it comes to headbutts.

Ortiz was using the headbutt from the round 1 - to me it seemed like it was part of the gameplan but it could have just been something Ortiz decided to try from the beginning and stuck with it round after round.
