Cotto outboxes Ortiz, UD. I can see Ortiz trying to win with foot movement but Cotto is great at cutting the ring off.

      Why not?

Their styles would match well for an entertaining fight, methinks.

They have enough name recognition between them to generate a pretty decent event and thus a win by either over the other would help their respective careers.

Also, like Bo said, it would be a good measuring stick for Cotto.

      Let's see it.

      War Cotto!!

Cotto has his sights set on big money fights, aka Canelo.
Well Cotto did fight Trout, which was one of the biggest low reward/high risk fights he could have taken.

Uh, Trout was the champion. Cotto was fighting for the title, he had a lot to gain.

I'd rather see Ortiz fight Maidana/Lopez winner, Guerrero even if he loses to Mayweather, or Malignaggi. And I'd rather see Cotto fight the possible Smith/Molina winner.
I'd like that scenario. It just now occurred to me that the Lopez/Maidana fight is between two guys that beat Ortiz, he should definitely be ringside for the one trying to get the victor to avenge himself.

He could have easily snatched K-9's belt and would probably now be in a position to fight Canelo in a mega fight. My point is that Cotto is a risk taker and ducks nobody, the guy's fearless in that regard.

Hahaha, do you really believe that? Look man no disrespect but #1 they have two different promotional companies. #2 The winner of Cotto vs Trout was supposed to be to fight Canelo.

Canelo was the ultimate goal in both Trout and Cotto, he's where the money is at. Unfortunately Trout threw a monkey wrench in Cotto's plans and set him back.

You won't find a bigger fan of Canlo's than Cotto when he fights Trout. Cotto wants a couple of last big paydays before he calls it quits.

Cotto is a warrior but you need to understand the way the boxing biz works, Cotto like every other fighter is seeking the bigger money fights and that's with Canelo.

This is a great fight, there styles would clash. Would be nice to see the outcome. Before May and Trout I would have said Cotto would win, but now I dunno.
