Tyson VS Foreman on the heavybag

Here we have Foreman on the heavybag

Here we have Tyson on the Heavy bag

Tyson prime weighs 218 -221 lbs

Foreman prime weighs 220 -225 lbs

So barely any difference in wieght.

But a huge difference in speed as you can see for yourself.

Speed is twice as important as body weight in a punch and these 2 factors are the only factors that contribute to power. Speed squared times mass = power or something like that.

So how the hell does Foreman hit harder than Tyson?

I'd pick prime Mike Tyson over anybody no lie (unless it went past 6 of course)

Foreman leaves a freaking dent on the lower part of the heavy bag. (for those of you who don't know, the bag gets denser towards the bottom)

but Tyson's punches sound like gun shots! That means his form is much sharper.

I'm going with Tyson. How can you not?

force = mass x acceleration, not mass x velocity.

Tyson has pop to his punches Foreman pushes his punches with a lot of weight behind them. From my personal experience boxing I would say a punch like Tysons causes a knock out easier cause of how it snaps your head back but someone like Foreman throws powerful shots but they are more physically painful and damaging and when he hits the glove stays on contact with the target longer than a punch from Tyson

He didn't say force, but power.. force is not the same as power.

There you go, I read you again!

In the videos you selected, I doubt Foreman was going for "speed". And the same thing about Tyson .. I doubt he was going for pure and raw "power".

If the Tyson that was killing people in the 80's and the Foreman that killed Norton and Frazier in the early 70's fought.....damn that'd be an amazing fight. I'd have to pick Foreman by TKO, but who knows???

I was going to post exactly this, but didn't know how to word it without writing up a paragraph.
