Is it wrong to be a die hard fan of a fighter?

If so why??cause in other sports you see fanatics, people paint their cars with their team colors and logo's,get to fighting over their teams at games, etc etc...some even get their teams tattoo'd on them..So why is it when it comes to boxing people act like it is a sin to be a die hard fan of a certain fighter?

    Are these fan boys??

At your age, and to the extremes you take it, not only is it wrong but funny and embarrasing all rolled into one.

No, but it doesn't mean you have to support every move they make in and out of the ring.

Here in boxingscene it's only wrong when it's Pacquiao or Mayweather.

Being a zealot for any reason is usually unhealthy unless you temper it with a fine balancing act.

Either you need to recognise that your heroes are flawed humans like everyone else, or you need to treat your fanboysim with a pinch of self deprecating humour. Its only children that don't have these safety mechanisms, which is why they have parents around to keep an eye on them.

What I think is ridiculous especially is when fans of a fighter, team or musician etc defend that person blindly over everything and expend so much energy to defend them when that person they are defending isn't putting money in the fans pocket or helping them achieve anything or probably doesn't know that fan exists. I understand being a fan but I don't understand some people getting so upset if someone insults whoever they are a fan of or why people take it so personally

When you start to defend every action about the boxer.

                Pac fans....

They defended Mosley Vs Pacquiao like it was a great matchup, as in Mosley was in his prime and wasn't coming off of 2 loses, even counting the Draw with Mora.

Either way that was a horrible fight for a P4P king to take.

In Boxing it's blindly supporting a specific fighter in which is bad.

I wouldn't say those pics are ridiculous. Idk about the first pic but the second pic its just some drag racing car or some ****, not something you really take to the streets. The last pic looks like the guy is going to or coming back from a game so that's normal.

Now Larry on the other hands, HE'S ridiculous. The way he supports Mayweather is beyond some stalker type ****. Those tweets he sent to 50 took the cake.

Btw this isn't really boxing related. This should be in the lounge if anything.

Going by the name 'Money team' and having those sig pics is an example of extreme bumsnifferry for your 30 some odd years self. Eyewateringly cheesy.
