Rigondeaux in great shape already, Solis ... not so much

Maybe his natural talent is the reason he's a slacker, he takes it for granted. Had he started his career a little earlier it would've bit him in the ass sooner or later, it almost did from what I hear.Originally posted by Prince MongoQuote:

That surprises me about Rigondeaux but not Gamboa. Rigondeaux is more talented and a better boxer where there is a big skill factor. Like you said Rigondeaux has the type of genetics where he will always look in shape.
It looks like he put some muscle on too, it must be that Pedro Diaz regime. Forgot what you call those workouts ( Im too illiterate

I hate to say it, but Rigo appears to fit the stereotype of the newly arrived Cuban boxer. Once the regimentation and discipline of a particular system is lifted, and individual freedom prevails, human nature takes over and people in general tend to become unfocused and lazy. Of course, as you point out, in Rigo's case it can be even worse because he's such a tremendous talent.Maybe his natural talent is the reason he's a slacker, he takes it for granted. I agree, Guille appears a little thicker. Maybe it's just the picture, but Rigo looks just a little bit more muscular. For 122, the guy's a specimen.Comment

Physique wise he's chiseled but I always thought he was a small 122lber.

lol A little bit.
Yeah, he's fairly small for the division. From everything I've read, Rigo might be better suited for 118. He's short, but he's so lean and muscular, that I think he can probably fight at least as high as 126.Comment

As someone who is 3 inches taller than Solis and weighs about 50 lbs less it is absolutely amazing to me that the guy can box for 10-12 rounds without keeling over dead or at the very least puking in his bucket between rounds.
Back in the day I used to be completely gassed after sparring 6 two minute rounds.Comment
