She shouldn't be judging if she refuses to apply the rules of boxing.

And she scored Hopkins over Calzaghe.

I think she came across pretty good though.
Sounds smarter than i would have thought.
Sorry but boxing is not just about throwing punches. If a guy throws 20 punches and lands 3 sloppy ones vs the guy who threw 10 and landed 5 but they were clear clean shots you would score it for the guy who threw 20? No consideration for defense or anything?

"Do you go for quantity or quality punches?"

No offense but it's a dumb question. It depends on what kind of quantity and what kind of quality we're talking about.

Theres always (99%) a winner in every round! The only time the round can get close to even is when theres knock downs scored by both fighters! I do score heavy on power as opposed to light punching! 'As officals retire and get out of boxing the sport brings up younger officals from the amatuer boxing ranks. Thats when judges think that 10 clean clear shots score more effective than 2 punches that rattle a guy. Pro boxing is a more brutal and dominate game than amatuers. It doesn't mean that the
"boxer" should be discounted but its supposed to favor an agressor who is "making the fight"! If the boxer is out manuvering and scoring while dominating using defensive skills then the credit should be given. Todays there seems to be to much movement used to only avoid contact and not set up offensive measures. Throwing a few punches than wasting 15 seconds running is something that used to get a fighter a warning for "not engaging"!
10-10 is a cop out, where as a 9-9 can be appropriate at times! Ray

And she had Abril over Rios?
That doesn't make sense then because Rios was doing nothing but throwing

She's a garbage judge and a disgrace to the sport. One of several that have made boxing judging the farce that it is.

Missed punches don't score at all.

Quantity is = numbers of punches landed.
