i think the sharmba fight was a big step in popularity for floyd, and gatti simply does not deserve to be champion

Here's a newsflash: Floyd can count his fans and his IQ on one hand. PrettyGrrl could have had the Zab fight straight up after Gatti. He's got a lot of doubt in his mind though and wanted to test the waters against fast southpaw former contender.

Fine, nothing like proceeding with prudence in this sport, but not if you're in your prime and are the undefeated experienced p4p fighter of the moment calling out middleweights. POOF, now the super Zab fight is vaporized, and Floyd is left with pauper's fare against Baldy, or fight in the IBF/WBA title eliminators for peanuts. You know Floyd will never challenge Margarito, who likely appears in one of the eliminators to grab another belt.

Bottomline: Zabby got his chin and heart exposed again and Floyd stays in hibernation, turning down fights against Zab and Wright. Maybe he can give Mitchell a rematch!
