Gatti would be Undisputed at Welerweight...

If Gatti beats baldomir he is the undisputed champ. I could care less about baldy not paying the sanctioning fees for these corrupt alpha bet soup orginizations titles. I go by the Ring belt, and if Gatti wins, he is the undisputed champ at 147 no questions.

I just thought id make that clear to the ppl who said it wouldnt be undisputed b/c baldy only got the wbc strap, who cares about those ugly belts that look like theyve been put together w/ bud light bottles and elmers glue

well I don't really agree with that but wouldn't Gatti become the Ring Magazine champ? Wasn't Judah the RIng title holder so Baldomir should be now, thus Gatti could be?

I don't think he would be recognized, because Baldomir needs to prove that his win was not a one-hit. I think that Mayweather will have to fight El 7 Mares and the winner will be the Ring champion.

If a second tier fighter like Gatti was known as the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.... man what an insult so the greats of the past. How bad would have boxing become?

I have never really seen Judah as a real player at 147. I just think that he beat a weak champion who had unified the division in controversial fashion.

the way the Ring works if have to beat the champ to be the champ. And if the title is vacant the #1 ranked guy and the #2 rank guy have to fight to fill the vacency and be champ, in some cases a #3 can fight thats it.

For example, Hatton beat KT who was the undisputed champ, so by doing that Hatton was the champ reguardless if u think PBF or Junior Witter r better fightes, etc

So now baldy is he champ b/c he beat Judah, so if Gatti beats baldy he is the undisputed champ at welterweight

we should wait and see what baldy has to offer and see if he can stick it out for a couple of defenses. if he is indeed a fluke that opens up the division for good competition for the titles it doesnt make the division bad it makes it more exciting. we can see the titles even get split up and then re unified by a real champion. i think this is a more exciting division now that judah has lost, now we can see who can step up.
