Sergio is great at calling out smaller fighters like Pacquiao, but he won't step up and fight anyone bigger, routinely has trouble with guys his own size, so it makes sense why he calls out smaller guys, or he just doesn't fight. Mayweather does the same thing. There's nothing credible about that.
About Mayweather you are unfortunately correct, he is not that small. But Martinez is too small and too old to go up. If he has to he can make 154 (according to he and his team) Many of those 168 pounders come into the ring pushing close to 185 lbs which was heavyweight only a generation or two back.

It's the same for MannyP. Those who pushed him to go up to 154 just wanted to see him get hammered. One of the reasons that past fighters were small for their weights is because they had same day, or ringside weighins and couldn't pare themselves down too much just before a fight.

What? He just beat a light heavyweight in Chavez Jr last time out. He beat a much taller Paul Williams...go smoke some good stuff for once.

He also beat the snot out of Pavlik whose 6ft2 & re-hydrated to 178lbs!
Darren Barker is also a big middleweight who re-hydrates to the mid 170s.

These Sergio haters make me laugh going on like he picks on smaller guys. Hes been outweighed on average of 10lbs on fight night whilst hes been at middleweight!

He will beat Murray in my opinion but this is also a tougher fight than the Barker,Macklin ones.
If them 3 ever met my bet would be Murray to win

1 - Why should Sergio move up? he's a natural middleweight who has already moved up 2 divisions
2 - How does Mayweather do the same thing he constantly fights people bigger than him

There's no doubt in my mind Martinez is an exceptional fighter and easily #1 Middleweight in the world. But i fear his legacy is being ruined by the likes of Felix Sturm. Sturm fought Macklin and Murray and Sturm is past his best, losses against Soliman (regardless of the drug issue atm because in the past, a prime Sturm would have beat him every day of the week) and Geale mean that all of a sudden, we have four fighters who can claim to being world class fighters.
Macklin deserves to be rated after his excellent showing against Martinez and Sturm (a fight he won handily imo). Murray looked good against Sturm but bar that, hes done nothing for me to think he should be highly rated and personally i think Martinez will destroy him.
Soliman is not worth talking about. Geale is a good pressure fighter, but in with someone who is very good like Quillin or Golovkin, he'd be exposed. He won a world title because Murray and Macklin were screwed.
My point on Martinez's record is he is fighting fighters who have earned their rep on the back of a Sturm fight when Sturm is past it. They arent all legit challengers. Id love him to focus more on Canelo, Golovkin, Quillin - fighters who most boxing fans would give him much more of a challenge.

How is Martinez small but Mayweather not?

Not sure if Darren Barker was that big/bigger than Martinez but your right he has always fought people as big/bigger than himself
