Comments Thread For: Barker: I Won't Be Satisfied Until I Win a World Title

Darren Barker believes an impressive performance against Simone Rotolo in Betfair’s ‘London’s Finest’ live on Sky Sports from Wembley Arena on Saturday night will lead to a massive fight in the summer.

Barker is looking to set the seal on his comeback from a over a year of injury frustration against the Italian middleweight champion, and after stopping former European champion Kerry Hope in style before Christmas, the 30 year old is hunting another big statement victory to prove he’s back on track for a second World title shot.

I am eagerly looking forward to Barker's fight and he should stop Rotolo in rounds 5-7. I hope the best for him and that he starts getting the recognition that he rightfully deserves as one of the best MW's in the world.

Hmmm weird how he didn't mention a certain notable MW with a title.

I understand not saying Sergio because he got KO'd.

But to not mention Golovkin seems strange considering the title of the article.

He probably thinks he doesn't stand a shot at landing another big title fight like that. He sounds like he lacks confidence in himself tbh but when he gets in the ring, he kind of reminds me a little of Calzaghe and he is a smart fighter.

If he dominates and KO's this dude (which I fully expect him to), I'd like to see him against n'Dam, Macklin or Lee. If he wins that fight, I say bring the heat to Quillin and shut him down.

I'm personally very interested in seeing Barker at the top level once again. He performed admirably against Martinez.

He couldn't hack it at world level, he quit against Martinez.

He didn't mention any middleweight title holder. The world doesn't revolve around Golvokin, man.

Just because Barker didn't beat a P4P doesn't mean he isn't world class. He performed well against Sergio; waaaay better than Chavez.
